Lloyd Daniels Debut Album

X Factor star Lloyd Daniels has compared his debut album to Lady GaGa and BeyoncĂ© - because it is so eclectic. Daniels finished fifth on the talent show last year and has said he is currently "working really hard" on the CD. He claims that the album is "not at all" like his performances on The X Factor.

He said: "We've gone for lots of completely different genres because we didn't want to keep it too much the same. "I think you could compare it to people like BeyoncĂ© and GaGa because they don't make albums where every track sounds the same."

Lloyd revealed that he is planning to release his debut single in February, but was unable to confirm the release date for the album.

Picking his favourites from this year's X Factor Lloyd chose Cher Lloyd, describing her as "just brilliant". However, he predicted that boyband One Direction are the most likely to be crowned the winners. He said: "They've got great voices the five of them and they're good-looking boys. "I think they've got a great fanbase so they're going to do very, very well."

X Factor’s Lloyd Daniels lights up Welwyn Garden City

The youngsters went mad as the Welsh singer did a brief meet and greet session after the big switch on.

Before his act a host of Welwyn Hatfield’s talent filled the stage including football freestyler Josh Clancy, 12, R’n’B act Conor Walker and Top Hat stage school.

The other entertainment on the night came from Titan the 12ft robot that featured on Big Brother, as well as duo Beatbullyz, who recently toured with N-Dubz.

Cheryl Cole gets Upset

Cheryl Cole broke down in tears last night over fears she has "let down" her contestants.

The 'X Factor' judge - who mentors the boys - struggled to control her emotions after she was criticised by Simon Cowell for choosing Leona Lewis' 'Bleeding Love' for her 16-year-old contestant Lloyd Daniels to perform.

Giving his views on the blonde teenager's performance, Simon said: "I'm going to put the blame with Cheryl. She's not working with you properly, understanding you properly, providing you with the right material to do well.

"I think you're talented, you're likeable, but you're not being directed properly at the moment."

When talent show presenter Dermot O'Leary asked Cheryl how she felt Lloyd had performed, the 26-year-old judge's face crumbled.

She sobbed: "I take full responsibility for the song. I found it really tough this week, it was diva week..."

"I feel like I've let him down."

Lloyd jumped off the stage and raced over to comfort his mentor. The pair held hands and hugged as Cheryl mouthed, "I'm sorry."

Once Lloyd returned to the stage, the Girls Aloud star was hugged by Simon.

But the music mogul blasted Cheryl again over her choice of song for Scottish contestant Ricki Loney - who performed an Amy Winehouse number.

Simon said: "I don't think you're being advised properly at the moment."

Cheryl is due to perform on the results show tonight.

This evening's show will also see singing sensation Whitney Houston return to the stage to perform a track from her new album 'I Look to You'.

Lloyd Daniels Sings Bleeding Love

The X Factor 2009: Simon complains when acts don't make songs their own - so what will he make of Lloyd's Bleeding Love?

Here comes Boot Camp

This weekend, The X Factor Boot Camp will finally be here and things really start to hot up. In previous series, we’ve seen acts who we thought were definites for the live shows crumble under the pressure.  Lloyd Daniels chose to sing the Jason Mraz hit I’m Yours but failed to make an impression. Simon asked the teenager to sing another song - this time unaccompanied - and Lloyd’s true talent was recognised.

X Factor Lloyd Daniels nearly died of kidney failure

Singing sensation Lloyd Daniels has told how he nearly died of kidney failure five years ago - when he lost four stone in a fortnight.
Lloyd, 16, from South Wales revealed yesterday how he was left fighting for his life after sailing through with four "yesses" thanks to a second chance from Simon Cowell.

Simon stopped his faltering first song and told him: "Start again."

But a bigger drama came at age 11 when he dropped from eight stone to just under four after his kidneys stopped working. Nearly three months in hospital followed.

Lloyd, tipped as potential X Factor winner, said: "The weight was falling off me to the point where I was skin and bones."
